Happy New Year!
Hello, friends, and welcome to my newly redesigned website, just in time for the New Year! And for the record, this is not only a new SimonLeung.com, but also a new Simon Leung, and a new beginning. Let me explain…

For those of you who have been following me for a while, you may have noticed that I hadn’t updated my blog in about two and a half years. During this time, while there were months when I was very active in my business, there were also many more months when I simply was not mentally conditioned to be in a social environment, much less make any public appearances at live events.

I won’t bore you with the specifics of my life since my last post 30 months ago, as it is a conversation better had over a couple drinks, anyway. To make a long story short, 2010 was extremely hectic and had its share of complications, 2011 was probably the worst year of my life with multiple consecutive catastrophic personal challenges, and most of 2012 was spent recovering from everything I had gone through and lost during that time.

Yes, I understand that these may not be the traditional motivational and inspirational messages you may expect from me or would normally hear me deliver on stage, but this is a very true and personal story of my life, one that I’ve never really considered sharing. This is real talk.

All I have to say is that I am extremely thankful for the few close people in my life who supported me during that difficult time, and encouraged me to stand back up and fight back a good fight when all I wanted to do was give up and disappear forever. And for well over a year, that was exactly what I did.

Even though I most certainly did have the means to hide away in a foreign country and live comfortably without working another day or talking to anyone ever again, which, believe me, was very, very tempting to do, these friends went above and beyond the call of duty, brought value to me in ways that were completely off the friend menu, and made me realize that life is worth living again. Make no mistake, it took a lot of time, and it sure as hell was not easy, but we did it.

My close family and friends all played important roles in giving me sources of support, strength, encouragement, care and even opportunities to triumph, persevere and move forward, and I finally made my big comeback to the Internet entrepreneurship game in the latter part of 2012.

Today, after several months of hard work building, testing and delivering brand new projects from the ground up, I know once again how it feels to run a successful business while motivating and inspiring others to do the same. Most importantly, I appreciate my life again and everyone who is in it, especially those who were there for me when I needed them the most.

And now, I am dedicated to making 2013 my best year yet. And for anyone crazy enough to take this exhilarating ride with me, I encourage you to meet me at one of my scheduled live events in the next few months, and we will sit down and have a serious conversation about changing your life and taking over the world, because that’s the direction my partners and I are heading.

We have HUGE plans! From company start-ups to new Internet Marketing training programs, not to mention product launches, live events and our private projects outside of the Internet Marketing niche, we are all geared up for one heck of a year.

I am very excited to start a brand new year full blazin’ ahead again to rock all 12 months of the calendar year, which is something that has not happened for a long time, and I want to share my excitement with you. Better yet, we want you to come along for the ride of a lifetime, because we are going to need all the help we can get!

Don’t worry if you feel like you don’t have the skills. It’s never too late to start. The truth of the matter is that we all start at zero. None of us were born with the talent and skills we would eventually develop. Through continued learning and experience, we can build miracles out of nothing.

We may continue to do great things, be lucky enough to build that success limitlessly, or, perhaps, everything can even be suddenly taken from you. That’s life, and it’s not always something that we can control. However, the knowledge you have is something that nobody can ever take away from you. You can build it all over again, maybe even better than you did before, but only if you want it. At the end of the day, it does not matter how much talent you have, it means absolutely nothing if you don’t strive for it.

I’ve gone through hell and back in a period of over two years. Heck, we even survived the end of the world (I celebrated it with an Armageddon Party)! There is nothing that life can throw at us that we can’t conquer. Remember, whether you think you can or think you can’t, you are right. Always think positive, and always believe in yourself and know that you, indeed… CAN.

I’m a big believer in everything happening for a reason, and the hardships that we all go through bring us one step closer to the person we are destined to become. I am fortunate enough to know now which road to take. We must follow this path and believe we are doing the right thing.

Personally, I can’t say that my mental state is 100% back to where it was before when it was at its peak, and I would be lying if I told you I have completely put together all the pieces of my complicated puzzle. Even though I have faith that whatever doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, it does take time before that strength is built up. Hey, we need to learn to walk before we can learn to run, right? That’s why I’m not worried. We have all the time in the world!

Plus, with the positive energy and support from my family, friends, partners, teams and even students whom I am so blessed to have in my life, I have all the tools I need, which gives me the passion to move ahead and the confidence to tackle my goals for this year, and beyond. My resolution is to make 2013 my best year ever, to represent the new me, and to mark this new beginning. Will you do the same?

BTW, I’ll do my best to update my blog more frequently moving forward, but just in case you don’t hear from me for another 30 months (fingers crossed!), we can still keep in touch and interact through social media, so be sure to subscribe to my Facebook posts or follow me on Twitter!

P.S. I’ve completely moved servers and content management systems for this website, so the new makeover is a continued work in progress. I’m still trying to work out some bugs and finalize the operation of the website, with about 300 web pages and 600mb worth of content in an SQL database that I need to figure out how to import! So please check back soon or enter your name and email address in the form on the right, and I will contact you as soon as we are all updated and ready to go. In the meantime, please feel free to poke around the new website and check out some of the information and videos from the navigational menu above. Thanks and chat soon!

P.P.S. Today is the first blank page of your new 365 page book. Write a good success story for us to read, will you? As they say, the best is yet to come. HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

Love the candour. As batman’s father said…”why do we fall? So we learn how to pick ourselves up again. ” You’re a champ si…and always will be. The fact that you even bothered to write this post is indicative of that.

Thanks, Jo! Means a lot coming from you. Learned a lot from you even back in my Google days, and looked up to you a lot when I first got started. Appreciate you being one of my close friends and look forward to working more with you this year!
