Hello from the Grand Ballroom of the Gold Coast International Hotel at Brett McFall and Tom Hua’s World Internet Summit in Gold Coast, Queensland Australia!

Simon Leung With Tom Hua And Brett McFall At World Internet Summit Gold Coast 2009

The World Internet Summit (aka WIS) is always an incredible learning and networking experience.

I had the opportunity to present back in September 2007 when Brett McFall and Tom Hua co-organized the seminar (then called World Internet Main Event) with Mike Filsaime, Paulie Sabol and Donna Fox in San Francisco.

But this weekend, I was extremely excited to watch Brett McFall and Tom Hua in action in their home country of Australia, where they not only brought local experts to the World Internet Summit Gold Coast stage, they also invited several of my fellow marketing expert friends from the states.

The World Internet Summit Gold Coast speaker line-up included Matt Bacak, Sean Roach, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Brian “Koz” Kosobucki, Nikhil Parekh, Debra Thompson Roedl, Matt Clarkson, Amanda Clarkson, Barnaby De Palma, Raymond Aaron, James Schramko and Scott Letourneau.

Needless to say, the World Internet Summit Gold Coast audience definitely got their money’s worth with the priceless content these speakers shared.

Off the World Internet Summit stage, we even got to hang out at the local restaurants and bars in Gold Coast’s nightlife area called Surfer’s Paradise.

As you can see, we stayed out of trouble (for the most part) – but we no doubt had some good times with friends downtown…

Mike Filsaime’s Internet Marketers Cruise 2009

Hello from Cabin 5151 onboard the Carnival Miracle somewhere on the Atlantic Ocean at Mike Filsaime’s annual Internet Marketers Cruise!

Internet Marketers Cruise 2009 (Click on photo to enlarge)

The Internet Marketers Cruise is always a great way to kick off the new year, and I have been fortunate to be a part of it every January for the past few years.

This time, our 8 day cruise around the Caribbean took us to St. Marteen, St. Kitts and Tortola, which is a beautiful island on the British Virgin Islands.

As always, the organizers of the Internet Marketers Cruise never fails in over-delivering, and I want to personally thank Mike Filsaime, Paulie Sabol, Donna Fox and Tom Beal – along with Captain Lou Edwards – on organizing yet another million-dollar mastermind vacation of a lifetime!

Previous years, the Internet Marketers Cruise was by invitation only, and the only way to receive an invitation is if you are within the “inner circle” of the Internet Marketers.

One of the reasons (and in my opinion, the major reason) this year’s Internet Marketers Cruise became the best one yet is that we have actually extended the invitation outside of just the “inner circle”…

And as you can see from our group photo above, the Carnival Miracle was literally dominated by Internet Marketers who took full advantage of the amazing week-long fun and networking experience!

Over the course of the 8 days, I had a ton of fun hanging out with members of the new “Rockstar Platinum” crew – Lee Collins, Robin Collins, James Lee, James Delong, Lasse Rouhiainen and Amanda Swigert.

It was also great to re-unite with previous Internet Marketers Cruise alumni, including Mike Morgan, Holly Morgan, Deborah Micek, JP Micek, Armando Montelongo, Veronica Montelongo, Joel Therien, Illona Therien, Mark Braunstein, Scott Tousignant, Bob Jenkins, Jennie Armato, Gary Byrne, Eelco de Boer, Howard Tiano, Cynthia Tiano, Matt Mazur, Michelle Galvin and Steve Pdilla.

I was also very excited to see some of my friends on the Internet Marketers Cruise as well, like Jeff Dedrick, Frank Sousa, Simone Blum, Tom Bell, Micheal Savoie, Frank Rumbauskas, Stacy Makdad, Reed Floren, Odinn Sorensen, Tracy Repchuk, Tim Houston, and Nathalie Fiset.

However, the best part has gotta be meeting completely new friends onboard, and have gotten to know Dr. Letitia Wright, Rich Cook, Jon Atwood, Vince Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Mike Deiure, Arnel Ricafranca, Susanne Jorgensen, Chris Cho, Annette Dubow, Matt Haslem, Jeanette Fisher, Julio Mattos, Amanda Steadman, Sharon Worsley, Mike Mahon, Jose Soto, Vince DelMonte, Wendy Joy Hart, Cindy Battye, Clay Franklin, Phil Henderson, Juliet Easton, Jon Benson, Wayne Buckhanan, Martyne Lo Russo, Scott Spurlock, and literally dozens more that I can’t remember right now!

The mastermind sessions, organized social events and island excursions have made the 2009 Internet Marketers Cruise a remarkable experience…

But I must say that one of the biggest highlights of the trip was finally meeting and getting to know one of my biggest inspirations in entrepreneurship, Robert G. Allen.

Hanging out w/ Robert Allen on the beach in St. Marteen

I had met Robert Allen once back in May of 2006 when I attended the Enlightened Wealth Institute seminar in Anaheim, but we never had the chance to really connect at that event.

We almost shared the stage once as well in September 2007 at the World Internet Main Event in San Francisco, but that didn’t work out either when Robert Allen was unable to make it.

But this time, stuck on a cruise ship with me for 8 whole days, Robert Allen had nowhere to go, and I finally had the chance to lock him down to have some private conversations with him.

Robert Allen and I actually hit it off quite well, not only spending some time on the beach, but also in his suite along with the Rockstar Platinum crew setting up his new Twitter account and teaching him all about how to use the most powerful force in social media today.

All in all, I had one hell of a business vacation, not only by having tons of fun with an amazing community of people, but also one of my more productive business trips yet – literally lining up my entire year’s worth of projects (in addition to the 50% of the time I’m already spending traveling internationally!).

If you’d like to join us for next year’s Internet Marketers Cruise and experience the mastermind vacation of a lifetime for yourself, I encourage you to visit our website now so you can sign up on our pre-notification list and be the first to know when plans for Internet Marketers Cruise 2010 is ready :)

In the meantime, help me keep the memories of Internet Marketers Cruise 2009 alive by viewing and commenting on some of the most memorable moments of the event captured on camera…

The SMART Seminar 2008 In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Posted by Simon Leung in Gurus, Seminars, Travel, Updates on November 10th, 2008 | No Comments

Hello from Rm 2203 of the Boulevard Hotel at first ever The SMART Seminar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia!

boulevard malaysia
The SMART Seminar 2008 in Malaysia is one of two back-to-back weekend events hosted by Stuart Tan and myself, and we’re scheduled to continue with The SMART Seminar in Singapore next week.

This past weekend in Malaysia, we kicked off The SMART Seminar with some of the most talented speakers from all around the world that I’m proud to call my friends, partners and mentors…

the smart seminar speakers

The SMART Seminar Malaysia Speakers

In front of a packed room full of information-hungry attendees, we were blown away by the valuable information presented by Anik Singal, Ewen Chia, Lee Collins, Robin Collins, Donna Fox, Mike Morgan, Mark Widawer and Robert Puddy.

I’ve seen every one of these powerful speakers present before, but never have I witnessed such a tremendous flood of solid content that was shared among them than at The SMART Seminar.

As the event organizers, Stuart Tan and myself were extremely grateful to the speakers for their willingness to share not only in their individual presentations, but also the group round tables in between breaks…

the smart seminar

The SMART Seminar Malaysia Breakout Sessions

Both the speakers and the attendees agree that these breakout sessions added a ton of addition value to The SMART Seminar experience because not only did it help the speakers build trust and relationship with the attendees, but it also gave the attendees the chance to ask each speaker questions personally in small group settings.

And even though we were truly in the presence of greatness, Stuart Tan and I were also proud to have in attendance some of Malaysia’s well-known Internet Marketers as well, including Patric Chan, Gobala Krishnan and Vince Tan.

As always, no Internet Marketing conference is complete without a speaker VIP dinner, and of course, The SMART Seminar is no exception.

On our final evening in Malaysia, the awesome folks at MindValley sponsored our evening of fun at the Kuala Lumpur Marriott, where we were joined by our good friend, the legendary Mark Joyner, who was also in town for another event.

The SMART Seminar Malaysia VIP Dinner

Overall, Stuart Tan and I believe that The SMART Seminar Malaysia this past weekend has exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to continue The SMART Seminar next weekend in Singapore.

However, we did have some last minute cancellations from a few of our speakers, who were unfortunately not able to make it to Asia for The SMART Seminar this time around.

Robert Puddy was a last minute replacement for Paulie Sabol, but we weren’t able to replace Ben Mack or Ross Goldberg at such short notice.

Luckily, we do have replacements for them next week in Singapore, so you’ll have to stay tuned to see who our new mystery speakers are going to be :)

Special thanks to the indispensable rockstars of my team, Andy Huang and Cassey Lim, for helping us make The SMART Seminar 2008 a success!

I look forward to updating you about The SMART Seminar 2008 in Singapore shortly, but in the meantime, here are several more fun memories of The SMART Seminar 2008 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia:

Ken McArthur’s jvAlert Live and Vitality in Las Vegas, Nevada

Posted by Simon Leung in Gurus, Seminars, Travel, Updates on October 19th, 2008 | No Comments

Hello from Room 519 of the Monte Lago Village Resort at Ken McArthur’sjvAlert Live in Lake Las Vegas, Nevada!

I actually didn’t arrive into Las Vegas until Sunday morning on an early morning flight from San Jose with Lee Collins, Robin Collins and Eric Farewell (which is why I didn’t have any time at all to take any photos!), and when I stepped into the jvAlert Live room, I was immediately greeted in the presence of greatness…

The Las Vegas jvAlert Family included Dave Lakhani, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Paulie Sabol, Donna Fox, Frank Sousa, Mari Smith, Barbara Drazga, Mark Widawer, Erik Stafford, Stephanie Mulac, Jonathan van Clute, Glenn Dietzel, Rick Butts, Carrie Wilkinson, Micheal Savoie, Glen Hopkins, Jason Develvis, Dan Kelly, James Lee, Felicia Slattery and countless others that I can’t remember right now!

It was also Harris Fellman’s birthday this weekend, and he decided to roll out and celebrate Vegas style with his entourage Sam Heyer.

Unfortunately, I could not stay long at jvAlert Live because I also have another obligation with the ViSalus event, Vitality.

With 2000 people filling up the conference with motivation and high energy, we watched inspiration presentations, cash-winning contests and fellow ViSalus business owners take the keys to their brand new BMWs!

It was an exhilarating experience, and I’m glad that I made the trip to Vegas to witness the magic they put on stage.

In the evening, I, along with Lee Collins and Robin Collins, also got the chance to meet up with JP Micek and Deb Micek for dinner.

Even though JP Micek and Deb Micek were exhausted from a long weekend in Vegas, also speaking at another event, we had a nice dinner and great conversation.

In fact, through that conversation, Deb Micek extended me an invitation to become a part of Social Media Simplified, a one day event scheduled for next Monday in Ventura, CA.

Even though it is short notice, I couldn’t miss the chance to share the stage with the best in social media marketing, including Deb Micek, Mari Smith, Linda Taylor, Nancy Marmolejo and the BlogSquad.

So, if you’re in the Southern California area, let me know if you’d like to stop by Social Media Simplified – would definitely enjoy meeting up with you :)

TheSMARTSeminar.com Preview Video Call

Posted by Simon Leung in Gurus, Launch, Promotion, Seminars, Travel, Updates, Videos on September 25th, 2008 | No Comments

Hong Kong has been in the middle of a severe storm during the past few days that has literally caused the whole city to shut down…

I’m talking about grounded public transportation, flights and ships as a result of heavy rains, thunder and winds at up to 200km caused by a T8 typhoon storm (AKA tropical cyclone).

But as we say in Internet Marketing, “the seminar must go on,” which is why Stuart Tan and I proceeded with our scheduled preview video call for The SMART Seminar(scheduled for this November in Singapore and Malaysia), he in Singapore and I in Hong Kong.

That’s right, after a two year friendship between Stuart Tan and myself that started with a private MySpace message sent to me from Stuart Tan in late 2006…

InternetMarketingSingapore.com and InternetMarketingHongKong.com (or as some people call it, “the best of both worlds” haha), finally launch their first highly anticipated collaboration by putting together Asia’s most explosive conference ever, The SMART Seminar.

The entire video interview is almost 55 minutes in length and has a lot of really important and relevant information about the value of attending live events, as well as a breakdown of all the benefits you will get from joining us at The SMART Seminar.

In addition, we also unveil our faculty line-up for The SMART Seminar, which also happens to be our very own friends, colleagues and even mentors that we hand-picked to teach at the event this November.

Our confirmed team of presenters for our first annual The SMART Seminar includes Anik Singal, Donna Fox, Paulie Sabol, Ben Mack, Mark Widawer, Lee Collins, Robin Collins, Mike Morgan and hometown favorite, Ewen Chia.

Please take the time to review the video and grab some valuable training information, then hop on over to TheSMARTSeminar.com to further discover how you can benefit from this event.

On behalf of Stuart Tan and myself, we look forward to seeing you at The SMART Seminareither on November 7th – 9th in Malaysia, or November 14th – 16th in Singapore.

Harris Fellman’s Launch Masters Retreat 2008 In Scottsdale, AZ

Posted by Simon Leung in Educational, Seminars, Travel, Updates, Videos on May 19th, 2008 | No Comments

Hello from Harris Fellman’s beautiful home at the Launch Masters Retreat 2008 in Scottsdale, Arizona!

harris fellman

 Simon Leung And Harris Fellman

I just spent an extremely fun and productive weekend at Harris Fellman’s house to mastermind with my fellow marketing friends Ross Goldberg, Paulie Sabol, Dr. Mike Woo Ming, Sam Heyer, Robert Puddy, Folusho Orokunle, Greg and Stephanie Mulac, Barbara Drazga, Dave Bernstein, Valerie Dawson, Lynn Pierce, Tracy Repchuck, Kathleen Donaghy and a few other entrepreneurs outside of the Internet Marketing niche.

And I even had the pleasure of staying at Harris Fellman’s house, and he was a tremendously gracious host and most hospitable, not only organizing the Launch Masters Retreat itself, but also providing guests with the food, entertainment, open bar and transportation to hotel guests in the form of a hummer limo!

Throughout the weekend, we had mastermind sessions and hot seats where we tore apart each hot seat participant’s businesses, and recommended new ideas and strategies to make their businesses even better.

What I thoroughly enjoyed the most were the intimate bonding moments during our breaks, BBQs and laid back activities where we were hanging out by the pool or enjoying conversations over drinks.

But hands down, the best times of all had to have been playing with the ADORABLE Mulac girls – Marina and Morgan – who are just the cutest things in the world…

marina and morgan mulac

Marina (7) And Morgan (5) Mulac

It’s safe to say that Marina and Morgan made my weekend as both of them were just a joy to play with… and they are just so flippin’ cute I can’t stand it! Haha…

I’m actually very disappointed that Harris Fellman’s wife, Andrea, and his own adorable kids, Hudson and McKenna, couldn’t join us this weekend as well, as it would have been a lot of fun to be able to hang out with the whole Fellman family.

I very much hope that they will be able to join us next time when we go back to Harris Fellman’s house to have another mastermind weekend retreat :)

And the next time Harris Fellman or another Internet Marketer has a similar retreat, let me know if you’re in the area or would be willing to travel to join us.

I’ve recorded a short video from Harris Fellman’s house below to explain how…

i5 Gold Bon Voyage Cruise 2008

Posted by Simon Leung in Gurus, Personal, Travel, Updates, Videos on January 12th, 2008 | No Comments

Hello from Cabin 8204 aboard the Carnival Liberty somewhere on the Atlantic Ocean just outside of the Bahamas at the i5 Gold Bon Voyage Cruise!

The Carnival Liberty, Hostess of the i5 Gold Bon Voyage Cruise

What a way to start off the year once again, with yet another well organized vacation cruise organized by the i5 Gold Mentoring Program.

However, as you may or may not be aware, the i5 Gold Mentoring Program has officially closed its doors at the end of 2007, which makes the i5 Gold Bon Voyage Cruise all that bitter sweet, as it marks the final i5 Gold event.

Notwithstanding, it was an outstanding farewell party as we spent 8 whole days aboard the Carnival Liberty, sailing from Ft. Lauderdale across the Atlantic Ocean to the exotic East Caribbean and hitting up islands like San Juan / Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau / Paradise Island in the Bahamas!

And as you can see from the photos below, not only was this cruise a huge opportunity to build business relationships and strike joint venture deals, but we also made sure that we had a “boat load” of fun as well :)

There really is no better way to build these friendships than to do it on a cruise, especially because so many marketers brought along their families and/or spouses, you have no choice but to form bonds with your favorite marketers when you are a part of their family vacation.

We wasted no time at all as the fun started even before the Carnival Liberty set sail from Ft. Lauderdale Port Everglades…

Bon Voyage Welcome Shot With Ross Goldberg, Lasse Rouhiainen And Howie Schwartz

Later on that evening, our Internet Marketing group had a welcome reception to kick off the cruise, where Captain Lou Edwards and the i5 Gold Mentors took center stage to set the plans for the week.

Throughout the week, there were other series of receptions that gave us opportunities to all get together and share some nice conversation over cocktails…

Cocktail Party With Daniel Arzuaga, Ricky Secades, Alex Nghiem And Armando Montelongo

Cocktail Party With Karen Kwan, Scott Byers, Robert Secades, Danny Arzuaga And Lasse Rouhiainen

Mardi Gras Pre-Party Coconut Drinks With Sam Heyer, Julie Olsen And Karen Kwan

And on nights that we felt like partying a little harder, well we had a few of those as well :)

Needless to say, some of the best conversations, as well as the most productive ones, were discussed over the nice dining that the Carnival had prepared for us.

On the last night of the cruise, there was a Carnival Legends show where the winners of a singing contest would perform live on stage in front of the whole ship.

Out of the 10 winners who performed, 5 of them were from our own Internet Marketing group :)

Paulie Sabol As Elton John, Tom Beal As Ricky Martin, Jermaine Griggs As James Brown, Sarah Griggs As Aretha Franklin And Michelle Galvin As Madonna

As you can see, we just had a complete blast on the cruise, and just like last year, we didn’t want it to end.

Vacationing with fellow Internet Marketers on a cruise is so awesome because there are just a million things to do and countless ways to build and enhance our personal and business relationships.

There were just a ton of the top names in Internet Marketing that joined us this year for this private cruise, and for the most part, we had the chance to hang out with almost everyone.

However, there was one man who pretty much kept to himself throughout the whole cruise and spent most of his time with his family, but I was able to catch him and spoke with him for a few minutes, and here is a photo to prove it:

A Rich Schefren “Sighting” Aboard The Carnival Liberty Caught On Film

On every marketing cruise I’ve been on, I have had the pleasure of either meeting someone new or improving my relationship with people I have acquainted with, but haven’t had the chance to really get to know.

Being on a cruise gives us that opportunity because for 8 days, there’s really nowhere for any of us to go :)

So we make the best of it by getting to know each other, having a good time and above all, building the friendships and business relationships that will last a life time.

Even though the annual private i5 Gold Cruise has come to an end, there’s good news…

Moving forward, there will be a brand new and exciting annual cruise that I will have to tell you more about in a few weeks’ time.

And yes, this means that there will be another cruise next year, and we’ll make this opportunity available not only to the “VIPs,” but also to our fellow marketing friends, customers and subscribers…

So don’t feel left out if you didn’t get the chance to go with us this time around, because in just a few weeks, I’ll be able to make an announcement regarding next year’s cruise :)

The next one will be our biggest one yet, so stay tuned for more information about how you can join us on the next Internet Marketer’s Cruise!

In the meantime, enjoy this 5 minute short video I recorded on board the Carnival Liberty (sorry about the poor video quality – my camera has been taking a beating lately, I guess I need to get a new one soon)…

My Day at Universal Orlando

Posted by Simon Leung in Personal, Travel, Updates on March 18th, 2007 | No Comments

Hello from Universal Orlando in sunny Orlando, Florida!

universal orlando

I’m killing time in between rides and waiting in line to capture some great memories that I’m sharing with some very good friends.

My Universal Studios Orlando adventure began shortly after our speaker breakfast when Paulie Sabol, Jeff Wark, Lori Steffan, Mitch Goldstein and I decided to have some disney fun for the day.

Paulie once again demonstrated his kind generosity by sponsoring the tickets for us, but that is just the kind of person that Paulie is.

What I found out was that Universal Orlando is the home of not one, but two theme parks – Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Both are action packed and are just a 5 minute walk apart!

We had some very entertaining experiences with shows and rides based on remarkable films such as Twister, Terminator 2, Men in Black and The Mummy.

Later on in the afternoon, we were joined at the Disney theme park by a few of my new friends at OfferLab, Anna Mohammed, Shakira Harris, Richard Harris and Kevin Bradshaw.

But to our dismay, we had to cut our group fun short as Paulie Sabol had to leave for the airport.

Jeff and Lori, joined by Mitch, then sent Paulie off, and I stayed behind to hang out with the gang for a couple more hours.

Definitely a great way to spend my last day in Orlando – great times and great company!

MySpace Marketing Optimization

Posted by Simon Leung in Educational, Launch, Promotion, Resources, SEO, Travel, Updates on March 1st, 2007 | No Comments

Hello from all the way up on the 16th floor in room 16352 on the East Tower of the gorgeous ancient-styled Luxor hotel in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada!

I just checked into my hotel after walking through the golden hallways, and the room itself is definitely designed for the high rollers, not to mention a view to die for of the famous Luxor pyramid, whose light is so bright that it shoots all the way up into outer space!

I’ve visited the Luxor hotel before, but this is my first time actually staying in it. And the best part is – I get the room all to myself!

…For one night, that is.

You see, my girlfriend, Karen, will be flying in to join me tomorrow night after she gets off from work, and together, we will attend Paulie Sabol and Donna Fox’s Credit Millionaire Marathon this weekend, where they will not only show us, but also help us apply right then and there up to $500,000 line of credit for our businesses!

Pretty incredible stuff, isn’t it?

Despite being a seminar junkie and attending events what seems to be week after week, the caliber of the hosts, speakers and content never ceases to over-deliver.

Not only that, but the attendees are all amazing people, as well. With so many people in attendance that you want to meet and talk to, and everyone at these events are thinking the exact same thing, successfully connecting with everyone has become quite a challenge.

Believe it or not, most of us have found the solution in what can be considered one of the most effective new media for connecting and marketing – social networking sites – but more specifically, MySpace.

As you may or may not be aware, the popularity of social networking sites, MySpace in particular, has increased dramatically over the past several months…

…Not only in its original intention to meet new people or keep in touch with friends, but more recently, also for business networking and marketing purposes.

During this time, we have also seen a flood of some of the most well-known Internet Marketing experts in the world jumping onto the MySpace scene…

…Experts like Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Paulie Sabol, Donna Fox, Armand Morin, Dr. Joe Vitale, Brad Fallon, Stephen Pierce, Marlon Sanders, Ken McArthur, Joel Comm, John Di Lemme, Brian Edmondson, Harris Fellman, Craig Perrine, Carl Galletti, Mark Hendricks, Willie Crawford, Jeff Walker, Tellman Knudson, Stuart Tan, Matt Bacak, Scott Paton, John Reel and literally dozens and dozens more!

What we are witnessing here, especially with the experts joining in and giving permission to their hundreds of thousands of students, customers, subscribers and fan base to personally communicate to them, is social proof at its very best.

And while I can’t whatsoever speak for these experts who are leveraging MySpace for their marketing, or how well it has been working for them, I can honestly and confidently tell you that it has worked miraculously for me.

Ever since I began implementing some of my own strategies to my MySpace profile around August of 2006 after leaving Google and going full-time, my profile almost instantly became one of my top 5 traffic sources for some of my main websites!

Check out these actual stats taken directly from my Google Analytics account (click on photo for full size)…

AdWordsOptimization.com stats (Sep 2006)

MasterAdWordsOptimizer.com stats (Oct 2006)

AdWordsConsultation.com stats (Nov 2006)

BuzzMeIn.com stats (Dec 2006)

SimonLeung.com stats (Jan 2007)

TheAdWorder.com stats (Feb 2007)

Pretty neat, isn’t it?

But wait, that’s not all…

Would you believe it if I told you that my strategies can also increase your search rankings, not only for your MySpace profile, but for your other sites, as well?

Check this out and see for yourself (click on photo for full size)…

Search results for ’simon leung’ on MSN.com

As you can see, not only is my MySpace profile number 4 out of 150,333 search results, but out of the first 10 results on page one, 8 of the websites are mine, including the first 5.

How about you?

Are you also maximizing your fullest potential with MySpace, and optimizing your profile into getting the most traffic both directly and organically?

If not, the place is here, and the time is now…

Wonder Women of the Web in Los Angeles, CA

Hello from the Concourse Ballroom 1 of the Marriott Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, CA!

I’m here at the Wonder Women of the Web event learning a lot of amazing information about marketing to women.

Absorbing Some Good Information!

You might have noticed that Paulie Sabol has been nicknamed “Girlfriend” in the photo above. The origin of his new nickname is actually quite a funny story…

You see, the Wonder Women of the Web event was intended to be a weekend full of 100% women speakers. When one speaker unfortunately had to cancel literally at the last minute, Donna scrambled to find a replacement.

When Donna announced the replacement speaker, she said that she had picked one of her best girlfriends who has always been by her side… Paulie Sabol! Haha…

Then, Paulie proceeded to identify himself as Paulie “Girlfriend” Sabol in his intro slide. It was pretty funny…

Right now, I am only running on about an hour of sleep because I arrived to town at 1AM after several hours on the road from Northern California, and remained wide awake for another few hours in bed from all the Red Bull I had for the long drive!

However, I am surprisingly not dozing off during these presentations considering how tired I was when I got out of bed at 6AM this morning….

But it really is no surprise at all when you think about the caliber of speakers at this event, including Donna Fox, Paulie Sabol, Fran Harris, Jeanette Catts, Jennie Armato, Rhea Perry. Lorrie Morgan Ferrero, Dr. Letitia Wright, and Pat Burns!

What topic could they be speaking on that is so intriguing, you may ask?

For starters, take a look at these outrageous numbers…

  • 85 cents of every dollar are controlled by women

  • 70% of owners of start-up companies are women

  • 57% of college degrees are issued to women

  • 47% of $500,000+ earners are women

  • 27% of US households are run by single women

  • 25% of new homes are purchased by women

Which breaks down to…

  • Women represent 94% of the market!

And yet…

  • 94% of websites are male centric

In fact…

  • 90% of women feel that advertisers don’t understand them at all!

Which means that…

  • 655% improvement to your business is possible by making small changes to your marketing and start talking to the people who control the money!

As a real life case study, we were shown an actual example of a company that made the small marketing changes in question that actually made the difference in an extra FOUR BILLION DOLLARS in profit!

Crazy stuff, huh? Now, tell me you wouldn’t be staring attentively and jotting down pages and pages of notes with this kind of information being shared right in front of you…I sure was!

And that was just the tip of the iceberg…

The first day of the event just wrapped up, but the weekend is just beginning!

My girlfriend, Karen, and I are actually in town to celebrate the birthday of a very good friend of mine with whom I worked closely with at Google.

We’ll be out on the town in Newport Beach, so stay tuned for pictures and updates from all the fun!
