You’ll never believe what Internet Marketing legends just called my personal cell phone!
OK, maybe you can take the hint from the title of this entry…
Yes, that’s right! None other than Mike Filsaime and Paulie Sabol themselves! Calling me to congratulate me on what they referred to as my “Freedom Day,” ie. the day I officially leave my full-time job and have the freedom to pursue my own Internet Marketing business without restrictions.
It was one of the most exhilarating 15 minutes of my life…
At the time that they called, I happened to be at my Google office packing up my belongings. I didn’t want to make a scene packing up during business hours while everyone else was working.
While packing, I came across some of my earlier memories with the company, such as my offer letter, the team’s original training documents I had put together and team offsites and event pictures, etc.
There was a moment when everything became so sentimental that I wasn’t sure if I had made the right decision leaving this company.
Talk about law of attraction!
Mike and Paulie were able to do a complete mindset shift for me! They were so supportive and encouraging that they pushed back any doubt about myself I ever had in my mind.
At the end of the day, while this experience has been responsible for where I am today, it was meant to be a stepping stone all along and that everything I’ve learned at Google was meant to prepare me for NOW.
Thanks, Mike and Paulie, for your kind words of encouragement and for having such faith in me. It means so much to have the support of role models I’ve been looking up to and learning from for so many years!
