Simon Leung at Insider Secrets to a Google Friendly Website Workshop in Manila, Philippines

The Insider Secrets to a Google Friendly Website Workshop is my first collaboration with PowerMax, my new business partner in the Philippines.

For our premeire project, the Insider Secrets to a Google Friendly Website Workshop trained attendees how to set up their websites in the way that is compliant with Google’s policies.

As a result of building a Google friendly website, it will have a higher Quality Score and better overall performance with Google AdWords and organic Google search engine rankings.

In addition to myself, I have also asked my Singaporean business partner and good friend, Fabian Lim, to travel to Manila with me to share some of his own content as well.

As the leading authority in Pay-Per-Click and search engine optimization in Asia, Fabian Lim trained on those topics during two separate training sessions at the event.

However, as you may have expected, the attendees wanted more…

So by popular demand, Fabian Lim and I will be returning to Manila later on this summer to conduct not just one, but two, additional live events – One on Google AdWords, and another one on Search Engine Optimization.

We look forward to coming back to Manila, Philippines this summer!

Hello from the Le Grandeur Hotel at the Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia!

real social marketing secrets workshop

Simon Leung and Fabian Lim at Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop

The Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop is my first collaboration with Fabian Lim, one of Singapore’s top Internet Marketing experts and a specialist in Pay-Per-Click advertising and search engine optimization.

Even though I had to leave my Vegas trip early to take a Sunday flight out to Jakarta, which resulted in close to 60 hours travel time due to flight delays, extended layovers and other travel challenges, then arriving in Jakarta just in time to begin the full day training, the amazing energy and welcome from the Indonesian students gave me enough stamina to pull through the workshop, which we did not conclude until 12AM!

Yes, it was an intense day, especially with my lack of rest due to the long travels, but it was very much worth it just to experience the encouragement and motivation from the Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop students and to personally help them build their empires online.

As with all my workshops, in addition to delivering content-packed powerpoint presentations, Fabian Lim and myself also provided live demonstrations of actual examples and steps at the Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop.

Since there has been so much demand for the Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop just from the buzz that was built around it through social media such as Facebook and Twitter, Fabian Lim and myself are planning to expand this event into Singapore and Malaysia, potentially in other parts of Asia, as well.

We may decide to test drive the Singapore and Malaysia markets next weekend, so if you are in these areas and think you may be interested in attending, please be sure to let us know, and you, too, will have access to the Real Social Marketing Secrets Workshop strategies, just like these lucky students who attended our Jakarta event:

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I don’t usually celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but since I’m in the mood to celebrate anniversaries, it was exactly two years ago today on May 5th, 2006, that I attended my very first Internet Marketing seminar.

It was the day that I look back as one of the most significant events of my business, particularly because it was the official turning point that changed my mindset from “employee” to “entrepreneur.”

This all happened in San Antonio at Joel Christopher’s live seminar, where I met a lot of marketers who have since become my close friends, partners and mentor figures, including Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Gary Ambrose, Terry Dean, Jason Oman, and dozens of others.

If you haven’t had the chance to go to a seminar, I would encourage you to attend one when you can – it will completely change the way you look at your business.

I’ve had many success stories over the past two years, and it all began when I took that leap of faith and attended my first live seminar.

Now, I understand that not everyone is in the position to attend a live seminar for whatever reason.

So, to commemorate my anniversary of two years as a seminar participant, I am holding a live show this Friday, May 9th…

However, it’s not just any live show

You see, I have invited my good friend Michael Cheney to join us to share some very exciting things – strategies about his own business formula that I wish I had two years ago when I first got started.

Why did I choose to invite Michael Cheney?

That’s because just two years ago, very much like myself, Michael Cheney was just getting started on the Internet.

In fact, a few years ago, Michael Cheney was living in a poxy one-bed apartment, up to his eyeballs in debt, alcohol and even drugs.

Michael Cheney was desperately trying to make money online to dig himself out of the hole, but nothing he was trying worked.

But then, something changed…

One day, Michael Cheney discovered a simple formula that netted him $250,037 online in just seven days, and he became an instant Internet Marketing superstar.

At first, Michael Cheney thought it was a lucky fluke – until he used the formula again to rake in several hundred thousand dollars more online.

Today, Michael Cheney uses this formula all the time to rake in five-figure and six-figure incomes every MONTH.

These days, Michael Cheney lives the good life in a $820,038 dream house, takes eight vacations a year and works when he wants to.

As you can see, this is a highly valuable formula, but this Friday only, Michael Cheney has agreed to do a live show with me to reveal his secret!

This live show is ONLY FOR YOU as a friend, customer or reader of my blog – no outsiders allowed.

** You Are Getting LIVE Coaching From Michael Cheney ($2000 Value) **

- You’ll discover the secrets behind “the money formula” and how you can apply these secrets to blast to your own sky-high income in record time

- You’ll be able to get your biggest marketing questions answered personally by Michael Cheney LIVE on the show

- You’ll discover exactly how Michael Cheney has sold millions of dollars worth of products online

- You are getting access to his marketing brain for TWO hours for free: Michael Cheney normally charges $1000 an hour for consultancy

You need to register right now for this exclusive LIVE, interactive, free 2-hour online TV coaching show.

Four years ago, on April 30th, 2004, while I was still working at Google, I created my first blog.

In fact, you can read my very first post on this blog by clicking here => April 30th, 2004

Two years later almost to the day, I was presented with an opportunity to attend my very first Internet Marketing seminar.

You can read about that here => April 28th, 2006

Today, four years later, I am running my own successful Internet Marketing business, and I have been lucky enough to befriend a lot of fellow entrepreneurs in the community.

And just like most of them (if not all of them), I started my Internet Marketing business with a blog.

For the past four years, I have been consistently, tirelessly and even eagerly documenting every single step of my Internet Marketing journey…

Why?

Quite frankly, it was because I didn’t learn the secrets to Internet success overnight – and I KNEW I wouldn’t – so I wanted to record it all (for myself, so I can remember my successes and failures, but also for you, so you can learn from my positive examples as well as mistakes).

From just a general business idea that I had with a few friends while still working at Google and getting mentored by the late (and great) Corey Rudl, to attending my very first Internet Marketing seminar and continuing on to speak on stage for the very first time, it’s all there every step of the way.

You can read about how I began and went through my trials, struggles, fears and frustrations (just like everyone else), to where I am today – my victories and success stories – all documented on my blog, right here at www.SimonLeung.com.

When you have some free time, or when you want to take a break from your work, I want to invite you to read my entire story on this website.

It’ll make you laugh; it’ll make you cry…

But more importantly, it may even be inspiring, as well as a great read, if I do say so myself ;)

What has blogging my story done for me, and why do I continue to do it after all these years?

Well, as you can see in my various posts, I am not only telling stories, but I’m also teaching and providing good information.

More importantly, I make it fun with text, photos and even videos.

These elements help attract new visitors to my blog, and keeps them coming back to read more.

What does that mean to me?

In addition to loyal readers, I get traffic, traffic and even more traffic :)

I have dozens of websites, but the one that gets the most new and returning visitors is my blog, by far!

As my reader, I want to get you to understand the importance of having your own blog.

Actually, I was talking to Sterling Valentine about this the other day on our drive to San Diego…

Your blog is your tool to not only get traffic, but to also build your relationship with your readers.

Tell them good stories, give them good content, and make it fun for them, and they will come back again and again.

Personally, I blog cuz it connects me to you, and I want you to get to know ME, and not what I’m “known as.”

Yes, my blog brands me as an expert and a speaker (which is all very cool), but I want talk to you as a friend, and I want to tell you what I’m up
by sharing my experiences with you.

That’s the kind of blog that I want to run, and that’s the kind of blog you’ll continue to get for many more years to come when you come back and visit :)

And the great thing about a blog is that it’s the fastest way to start your Internet business.

I did it in about two hours, but with the new Anik Singal and Rosalind Garner’s Blog Classroom, you can probably do it in 10 :)

Technology these days has made starting your own blog as easy as a mouse click, and all that’s left is for you to plug in a little bit of yourself
and introduce yourself to your new fans!

The Blog Classroom shows you exactly what you need to do in order to brand yourself online and tell your story.

And before you know it, you’ll be all over the Internet (trust me – it’s really cool haha).

I hope this has encouraged you to start your own blog if you haven’t already started one…

Or if you have, I hope this gives you some ideas on how you can change or move forward that gives your readers more of yourself.

By the way, attending Internet Marketing seminars is a great way to meet other entrepreneurs, and it gives you something really interesting to blog about.

You can blog about your experience, what you learned, who was there, and you can even post photos and videos, which many people enjoy.

If you are interested in attending an Internet Marketing seminar soon, some upcoming ones include Ross Goldberg’s Xtreme Business Makeover Workshop in Sarasota, FL, Ken McArthur’s JV Alert Live in Philadelphia, PA, Mark Hendrick’s Internet Superstars Conference in Baltimore, MD, and Lynn Pierce’s Women’s Business Empowerment Summit in Scottsdale, AZ.

Let me know if you’re going to be at any of them and maybe we can meet up for lunch :)

Hello from Room 935 of the Hard Rock Hotel at Frank Kern’s Mass Control Workshop in San Diego, CA!

frank kern

Frank Kern And Simon Leung At The Mass Control VIP Party On The Roof Of The Hard Rock Hotel

I just spent the weekend hanging out with Internet Marketing’s top dogs, who all attended as part of all-star VIP line up of the Mass Control Workshop.

We saw cameo appearances from superstars like Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Rich Schefren, Jeff Walker, Jason Moffatt, Mike Koenigs, Brad Fallon, Andy Jenkins, Mike Morgan, John Carlton, Matt Gill, Rex Wisehart, Sterling Valentine, Mark Widawer, Kevin Nations, Ryan Kaltman, Lynn Pierce, Frank Sousa, Ross Goldberg, Bob Serling, Eben Pagan, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Ed Dale, Tellman Knudson, Joe Polish, Lee Collins, Robin Collins, Shawn Casey and at least several others that I can’t think of right now!

I know – I couldn’t believe the VIP guests either!

All of these top marketers coming together in San Diego definitely made the Mass Control workshop a spectacular and memorable event.

But just as valuable as the networking was the incredible content delivered by Frank Kern and his guest speakers.

They spoke of the human psychology behind a customer’s buying process, and everything that defines a prospect’s purchase decision.

I was especially impressed as Frank Kern dissected the anatomy of his multi-million dollar Mass Control launch, which was nothing short of brilliant!

But more importantly than just the money is the process that can bring you more followers and fans in your specified niche.

Even though I don’t personally have a big launch planned for at least another few months, I am extremely eager to put some of this new information to use.

Over the next several days, I’ll be implementing some Mass Control style strategies to see on a couple social networking websites to see how well they work for me.

Check back soon and I’ll let you know the results :)

Hello from Room 744 of the Renaissance Hotels and Resorts at Rex Wisehart’s The Capital Factor in Denver, Colorado!

capital factor

Setting Up My Presentation With The Help Of Rex Wisehart And Rick Raddatz (At Least I Think That’s What We’re Doing Haha)

As you may already know, I had spent over half of 2008 thus far in Asia to work on various projects to expand my business overseas.

However, what you may not know is that if it weren’t for Rex Wisehart’s The Capital Factor in Denver, Colorado this weekend, I would still be in Asia right now.

That’s because in addition to building and training my team overseas, several tradeshows that are relevant to my various businesses are happening right now in Hong Kong and China.

Instead of sticking around in Asia to participate in these events, I decided to return back to the United States early specifically to fulfill my commitment to Rex Wisehart to speak at The Capital Factor.

It was my first sales presentation in over 2 months, and it’s also my last one of its kind for at least the next few months.

simon leung

The reason is that after serious consideration, I have decided to make some changes to my business, and as far as speaking is concerned, I am going to be a lot more selective when it comes to the event as well as the event organizer.

You may still see me on the stage from time to time at various conferences, but they will be much different – You’ll see what I mean in the upcoming weeks.

So why did I decide to make an exception for The Capital Factor, and was it a good decision?

Well, in addition to being great friends with Rex Wisehart, I knew that it was an event that I personally needed to attend to help build my own business.

And yes, I was right!

Not only did I have the priviledge to share the stage with some of the most brilliant business, finance, motivational and marketing minds in the world, such as Armand Morin, Rick Raddatz, Brendon Burchard, Jermaine Griggs, David Bullock, Wes Jankowski, Carolyn McCormick, Jim Arkebauer, Bob Smith, C.L. Osborn, Mindy Jones, Phil Winn, Darrel Hornbacher, Wayne Van Dyck and Dick Bruso …

… But I have also learned a ton of business related information and built new friendships with many top notch individuals who were in attendance at The Capital Factor.

I also had a ton of fun with The Capital Factor crew at the Rockies vs. Diamondbacks opening game at Coors Field on Friday, speakers dinner at the Tavern Lowry on Sunday evening, as well as at the event throughout the weekend.

My New Friends – Director Of The Capital Factor Amber Rouse And Leading Motivational Speaker Brendon Burchard (Also From The Bay Area)

The Capital Factor is one of very few events I remember in recent memory where I stuck around to watch presentations from the speakers, most of whom I have never seen speak before because they are in a different industry, and was able to pick up a ton of extremely helpful new information.

If you weren’t able to make it to The Capital Factor live yourself this past weekend in Denver, you should definitely get your hands on The Capital Factor DVDs so you don’t miss out on this amazing information.

Hello from Room 707 of the Embassy Suites at Stu McLaren’s Idea Incubator in Anaheim, CA, just a few blocks away from Disneyland and Downtown Disney :)

Idea Incubator At The Embassy Suites In Anaheim, CA

Idea Incubator Day One – 9:15AM (Presentation #1)

Idea Incubator Day Two – 8:45AM (Presentation #2)

(Photos courtesy of Andy Huang, my Project Manager and Business Partner)

This event marks the last speaking engagement that I have committed to for the next few months… That’s because I will be doing some intensive International traveling to start building new businesses and organizing my own events overseas.

With that said, I must say that the Idea Incubator was for certain the best event I could have chosen for such an occasion…

This is primarily due to the fact that the Idea Incubator has arguably one of the most involved processes for the speakers, simply because Stu McLaren strongly believes in maximizing the value for the attendees.

Not only is the Idea Incubator an intensive weekend of valuable information, but each speaker also presents not just once, but TWO times, for multiple days in content-packed 90 minute sessions.

In addition, all speakers also get together with the attendees for a night in a “roundtable” session, where small groups get the chance to personally meet and grill each speaker for 20 minutes at a time on just about anything that they want!

And considering the EXTREMELY high quality of speakers that I have the honor of sharing the stage with at the Idea Incubator, including Alex Mandossian, Armand Morin, Matt Bacak, Jermaine Griggs, Ray Edwards, Michel Fortin and Sylvie Fortin…

Well, you can just imagine the tremendous value each attendee got simply by making their trip to Anaheim this weekend!

Also, I must admit that I’ve never been to another event where even the most successful speakers stick around to network and hang out with everyone throughout most of the event.

The quality of Idea Incubator also shows with the calibur of audience just in attendance, including Frank Sousa, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Christina Hills, Jay Aaron, Mike Koenigs, Jose Espana, DJ Dave Bernstein, Eric Farewell, Marty Stewart, Rachel Rofe and Jaime Mintun.

You may or may not have heard of all the names I just mentioned (particularly the latter ones), but they are all good friends of mine and you’ll be hearing a lot more from them real soon (I already have some cool projects planned with most of them).

Definitely an amazing weekend at the Idea Incubator, but I’m bummed that I need to leave the event early because I am taking off for my 2 month trip to Asia tonight, so I need to go home, pack and take care of some last minute things.

However, I am very glad that I could stick around last night for not only for the round table session, but also to celebrate Stu McLaren’s birthday with his team and a few friends at Red Robins.

Stu McLaren’s Birthday Dinner With Jermaine Griggs, Brent Coppieters, Jeff France, Faye McLaren, Greg France, Rachel Rofe And Jaime Mintun

Again, this marks the end of my seminar speaking tour for a while, and since I will be out of the country, that means that I will be missing some very cool upcoming seminars, including Ken McArthur’s JV Alert Live, Howie Schwartz and Dr. Mike Woo-Ming’s Lead Supreme Workshop, Alex Mandossian’s Teleseminar Secrets Reunion, and other events organized by Armand Morin, Mark Hendricks and Frank Kern.

And even though I will be back on the circuit eventually, probably in a couple of months, I will be committing to a lot fewer of them, and my schedule will be a lot less aggressive so that I can focus on truly building my business.

I have a lot of goals regarding where I want to take my business, and after 18 months of intensive traveling and speaking, I believe it’s finally time to stir my actionable items towards that direction.

Hello from room 1185 of the Tropicana Hotel at Ross Goldberg’s Masters Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada!

simon leung

You know how they say: “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”?

Well, that’s true… Unless I blog about it :)

That was actually Ross Goldberg’s slogan for this Masters Seminar, and he even had cool t-shirts made that you can purchase from Robert Secades and Danny Arzuaga from Graphic Mavericks.

In fact, I helped discover Robert and Danny and took on the role as their mentor as well, and amidst all the fun we were having on Friday night at a suite in the Palms, they took the time to show their appreciation in this video:

As you can tell probably from the background, there was a party going on inside the suite… But even though there were indeed a lot of good times that were had with other Internet Marketers over the weekend in Vegas, I can probably only share the details of what happened at Ross Goldberg’s Masters Seminar :)

As always, Ross Goldberg knows how to put on an event, even holding an entire workshop the day before the seminar began to ensure that his customers hit the ground running.

That’s how dedicated Ross Goldberg is to his customers’ success, which is why I highly recommend that you try to make it to the next Masters Seminar in July if you weren’t able to make it to this one (or come back – we’d love to see you again!).

Back to this past weekend’s Masters Seminar, I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the product launch pro Harris Fellman, “Million Dollar” copywriter and conversion specialist Mike Morgan, 6 figure suitcase genius Sterling Valentine, Conversation Dominator Howie Schwartz, all around marketing maverick Willie Crawford, the cash vacuum Sean Roach, branding dynamo Ben Mack, outsourcing expert Brian Koz, info marketing genius Alan Bechtold, new media pioneer Deborah Micek (one half of Deb and JP Micek), affiliate marketing specialist Paulie Sabol, women marketing specialist Donna Fox, lead generation superstar Dr. Mike Woo Ming, book marketing expert Warren Whitlock, brilliant bloggers Greg and Stephanie Mulac and Network Marketing Millionaire Robert Butwin.

Quite an extensive list of talented speakers, isn’t it?

That’s how Ross Goldberg over-delivers in value… Because he finds the best of the best in the industry and makes sure that his attendees are getting as much over the weekend as possible to take their own businesses to the next level.

But that’s not all, because in addition to the talent on stage, Ross Goldberg even invited other VIPs to the Masters Seminar so that his attendees can get the opportunity to meet more experts and get even more value.

Some of these VIPs include Frank Sousa, Mike Koenigs, Mark Widawer, Lee and Robin Collins, Liz Tomey, Sam Heyer, “Big” Jason Henderson, Jason Moffatt, Tracy Repchuck Dennis Karganilla and Jimmy Davis.

The next Masters Seminar, Ross Goldberg has invited as speakers the likes of Rich Schefren, Jeff Walker, Mike Filsaime, and some of the VIPs this past weekend such as Lee and Robin Collins, as well as Tracy Repchuck will also take the stage.

And of course, I will be there as well…

Here are the details of the next Ross Goldberg Masters Seminar: July 18th, 19th and 20th in Chicago, Illinois

I’ve been to the Chicago dozens of times for connection flights, but have never actually left the airport before… And since this is the weekend before my birthday, you can be sure that I’ll be out on the town with some of my marketing friends…

And this time, maybe you can join us!

Mark your calendar for July 18th, 19th and 20th… And we’ll see you in Chicago for the next Ross Goldberg’s Masters Seminar!

Hello from room 1011 of the Embassy Suites Hotel at the Two Sides of Traffic Workshop in sunny San Diego, CA!

The Two Sides of Traffic Workshop is my first collaboration with Howie Schwartz, and the objective of this event is to combine both Google’s organic listings with the paid search (the two sides of traffic).

Howie Schwartz and I presented together as well as individually, which included presentations, hot seats, Q&A sessions and live demonstrations.

My personal favorite demonstration has to be the video clip Howie Schwartz and I recorded above.

Literally at the last minute, we decided to take on the challenge of recording a video live on stage, and seeing how quickly we can get that video indexed by Google.

With the help of Mike Koenigs, we used Traffic Geyser to submit the video and within less than 26 minutes, the video already got top 10 rankings on Google!

As I explained how I witnessed the magic happen right before my eyes to the attendees, we refreshed the page and saw that an additional website has been indexed on the first page of Google.

Man, this Traffic Geyser is no joke – it really works!

(By the way, I just checked the rankings again moments ago and our video has dominated the top five spots on Google already!)

Other VIP guests for the Two Sides of Traffic Workshop includes Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Mark Widawer, Jason Moffatt, Rex Wisehart and Ryan Kaltman (from The Rich Jerk).

Overall, we have received some very positive responses from the attendees about our Two Sides of Traffic Workshop.

The atmosphere was very positive, and in addition to learning some great content, there were also some great networking opportunities, as well.

Tomorrow is the Lead Supreme Workshop with Howie Schwartz and Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, which promises to be another day full of amazing content.

Unfortunately, I can’t stick around and need to leave San Diego tonight because I need to head out to Las Vegas at 6 in the morning.

That’s right – I don’t waste any time… The adventures of a traveling Internet Marketer is truly living life in the fast lane :)

Hello from Room 1054 of the Westin Hotel in Las Vegas for Anik Singal and Jeremy Palmer’s PPC Classroom in Las Vegas, NV!

As you can see in the video clip below, this is not one of my “traditional” presentations…

You may notice that I am not dressed in my patented speaking attire, that I have a piece of paper in my hand, and the way that I entered the stage is just different (for those of you who have seen me speak before).

That’s because the video clip above actually shows Anik Singal introducing me to the stage for a closed door secret “bonus” session after hours that was not originally part of the PPC Classroom Live agenda.

In fact, most of the PPC Classroom Live attendees did not even know I was going to be there until that very morning.

And – It wasn’t a traditional presentation with PowerPoint slides…

For 90 minutes, I had an interactive and live Q&A chat with the PPC Classroom Live audience answering their specific questions and giving them actionable items they can take today to maximize their Quality Score.

Towards the end of the video clip, you may have heard the first words that came out of my mouth: “I’m tired.”

The reason I was tired was not only because I had flown to Las Vegas to attend PPC Classroom Live directly from Singapore, but my entire journey, as a result of layovers, bad weather, delays and even cancellations, actually took me 45 hours to complete.

And without getting very much sleep during my travel time, I had been up for a while – So at the time that I was making my way up to the stage to give my PPC Classroom Live presentation, I was actually feeling kind of numb and a little delirious!

That’s OK though, because oddly enough, from the feedback I received after my talk, the overall consensus is that I had overdelivered in value, and many people who have heard me speak before actually said that it was the best presentation I’ve ever done.

Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing – Maybe I should stay up for two days again the next time I’m presenting. ;)
