Hello from the Hard Rock Hotel at Frank Kern’s Mass Control 2.0 Workshop in San Diego, California!

Frank Kern And Simon Leung At The Mass Control VIP Party On The Roof Of The Hard Rock Hotel

This is Frank Kern’s second Mass Control workshop and just like last year, Frank Kern pulled out all the stops to ensure the most incredible event possible.

The networking was simply amazing, with 1000 people turning out to network with Internet Marketing’s top dogs John Reese, Yanik Silver, Jeff Walker, Mike Filsaime, Ed Dale, John Carlton, Mike Koenigs, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Joe Polish, Andy Jenkins, Tom Beal, Jeff Mulligan, Harrisi Fellman, Jason Moffatt, Mark Widawer, Ross Goldberg, Peter Parks, Lee Collins, Robin Collins and countless, countless more.

It was simply impossible to run into, much less met everyone who attended the Mass Control 2.0 workshop because Frank Kern did an amazing job packing the venue to the core of what appeared to be thousands of people!

Nonetheless, the networking with those I was able to spend time with was awesome, not only during the Mass Control 2.0 workshop itself, but the social activities after the event.

Frank Kern never fails to throw magnificent events, and the Mass Control 2.0 workshop was definitely no exception!

As my Cathay Pacific flight landed in SFO after my 18 hour journey from Singapore to San Francisco, I turned on my Blackberry to hundreds of new messages accrued from over the past several weeks while I was in Asia.

Quite a number of them were sent recently by my buddy, Stu McLaren, who was pretty persistent in contacting me through emails, instant messaging, both the public and private streams on Twitter and even leaving me a comment on my blog :)

Poor Stu McLaren must’ve been freakin out, cuz he actually had me scheduled to kick off his annual Marketing Predictions Call, which is a virtual event Stu McLaren puts together every year to raise money for a charity called World Teacher Aid, an organization founded by his wife, Amy McLaren.

The reason I’ve agreed to volunteer my time with Stu McLaren is not just because Stu and Amy McLaren are my friends, and not just the mere fact that I’ll be training and giving online entrepreneurs 2009 insights that will help them learn more about Internet Marketing…

Even more importantly, I am taking this as an opportunity (especially in the spirits of the Holiday Season) to give back by helping out a worthy cause…

You see, Amy McLaren’s World Teacher Aid is a non-profit organization that focuses on bringing education to children by building schools and establishing feeding programs all around the world, as well as funding full-time salaries and supporting children in less fortunate countries like Uganda, Ghana, El Salvador and Kenya.

Every year, Stu McLaren holds an online fundraising event for his wife’s cause by interviewing the top Internet Marketers in the world, and this year promises to be the biggest one yet with four times as many volunteered marketing experts than last year!

I’m very honored to be a part of Stu McLaren’s Marketing Predictions Call this year, and will be sharing my Google predictions during my scheduled interview TONIGHT…

And over the next several weeks, expect a ton more amazing and pitch-free information and marketing insights for the upcoming year from literally some of the most talented and top notch Internet Marketing experts in the world!

The SMART Seminar 2008 In Singapore

Nov 16 · by Simon Leung

Hello from the Singapore Expo at The SMART Seminar 2008 in Singapore!

Stuart Tan And Simon Leung At The SMART Seminar 2008 Singapore

After one hell of an event at The SMART Seminar 2008 in Malaysia last weekend, Stuart Tan and I knew that we had a ton of expectations to meet this weekend when we debuted The SMART Seminar in Singapore.

Even though The SMART Seminar in Malaysia delivered big, we had to make do with the absence of two of our expert speakers, who were unable to be replaced within just a few short days’ notice.

Fortunately, Stuart Tan and I were able to pull a few strings with a little more time on our hands, and we used the extra week to bring on board two additional powerhouse speakers for The SMART Seminar in Singapore:

stephen pierce

Stephen Pierce At The SMART Seminar 2008 Singapore

mike koenigs

Mike Koenigs At The SMART Seminar 2008 Singapore

And yes, our new speakers are in addition to the same expert talents who presented at The SMART Seminar Malaysia the previous week, including Anik Singal, Ewen Chia, Lee Collins, Robin Collins, Donna Fox, Mike Morgan, Mark Widawer and Robert Puddy.

As expected, our surprise mystery speakers gave jaw dropping performances, and the entire audience were completely floored by the level of information shared in their content-packed presentations.

Much like the previous weekend in Malaysia, The SMART Seminar in Singapore also brought the speakers and attendees together with the breakout sessions…

But in addition to the two new speakers, what distinguished The SMART Seminar in Singapore was that we actually streamed most of the event through live video so people could watch the presentations all around the world!

Over 100 viewers joined us from all across the world throughout the weekend, including other top name marketers like Mark Joyner, Matt Bacak and several others.

Overall, I would definitely consider the two week adventure of The SMART Seminar a tremendous success.

It was first seminar of its kind, and Stuart Tan and I are very much looking forward to continuing this epic era for many years to come, growing the project and expanding even to more areas around the world.

But of course, none of this would have been possible without the help of The SMART Seminar team and speakers…

So here, I’d like to express my sincere thanks to Anik Singal, Ewen Chia, Stephen Pierce, Mike Morgan, Lee Collins, Robin Collins, Mike Koenigs, Mark Widawer, Donna Fox, Robert Puddy, Andy Huang, Cassey Lim and Terence Yao for making The SMART Seminar 2008 a remarkable experience.

Last, but most certainly not least, a special thanks to my partner and awesome friend, the most giving and generous guy I know, my co-host of The SMART Seminar – Stuart Tan.

Stuart, I’m grateful for our partnership and friendship, and look forward to working on our continued and upcoming projects together in the not-so-distant future!

To The SMART Seminar 2009 and beyond – see y’all next year!

Larry Benet’s Speakers & Authors Networking Group

Aug 27 · by Simon Leung

Hello from the Silverado Resort at Larry Benet’s Speakers and Authors Networking Group (SANG) in Napa Valley, CA!

larry benet

I drove up here to Napa Valley today with Eric Farewell, not knowing what to expect at Larry Benet’s Authors and Speakers Networking Group (SANG), and really not even deciding whether or not to come until earlier this afternoon.

But once we arrived at Authors and Speakers Networking Group, we were completely floored by the caliber of business individuals and entrepreneurs present all in one room…

We’re talking about best selling authors, multi-millionaires and even billionaires, including Jack Canfield (from the Chicken Soup of the Soul series), Bill Bartmann, Ron LeGrand, Alex Mandossian, Stephen Pierce, Joel Comm, Russell Brunson, John Carlton, Armando Montelongo, Veronica Montelongo, Brendon Burchard, Mike Koenigs, Kevin Nations, Matt Morris and dozens more.

Umm… yeah, this event was NO joke, dude!

This truly was a solid networking event, and I can honestly say that I have never seen a more brilliant relationship building event model than the one I have witnessed at the Authors and Speakers Networking Group.

In addition to the speed networking sessions, everyone continued to network non-stop through dinner, and even after the event was over, hanging out at the hotel bar into the wee hours of the night.

Because I have yet to replace my broken camera and Eric Farewell also forgot his camera equipment at my house, we were unfortunately unable to capture too many moments of the Authors and Speakers Networking Group on film.

However, for your viewing pleasure, Eric Farewell has gone ahead and done a couple extra 12 second videos for you at the Silverado Resort in Napa Valley (ya he’s not as good with these 12 second videos as I am haha)…

Three Sides Of Traffic Workshop In Long Island, NY

Aug 10 · by Simon Leung

Hello from Room 345 of the Long Island/Huntington Hilton at the Three Sides of Traffic workshop in Long Island, New York!

three sides of traffic
Howie Schwartz, Ross Goldberg And Simon Leung At Three Sides Of Traffic

The Three Sides of Traffic workshop is a sequel to the Two Sides of Traffic workshop I did with Howie Schwartz last December in San Diego, CA.

This time, we were joined by our good friend and fellow traffic generation expert, Ross Goldberg, and the three of us decided to team up to reveal some of our latest and most coveted traffic weapons yet.

And as a surprise bonus, we introduced an additional fourth side of traffic utilizing the power of online and offline marketing, presented by hybrid marketing experts Lee Collins and Robin Collins on the second day of the event.

3 sides of traffic

The additional speakers and content were pleasant surprises for our attendees, some of whom flew from as far as Germany to join us in New York this weekend.

We always have fun at our own workshops, especially when we are joined by fellow marketing friends, whether they attend to contribute, or even just to learn.

At the original Two Sides of Traffic workshop, we had VIPs like Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Mark Widawer, Mike Koenigs, Jason Moffatt, Ryan Kaltman and Rex Wisehart.

This weekend at the Three Sides of Traffic workshop, our VIP guests included Ken McArthur, Donna Fox, Sanyika Calloway-Boyce, as well as Mike Filsaime and several members of his team, Joe Jablonski, Jason Dinner, Michelle Galvin and Lucius Kern.

In fact, on Thursday before Three Sides of Traffic started, Ross Goldberg, Donna Fox, Lee Collins, Robin Collins and myself visited with Mike Filsaime and his team at their Long Island office.

marketingdotcom

We spent the day hanging out there and entertained ourselves with foosball, movies and video games.

Back to the Three Sides of Traffic workshop itself, Howie Schwartz, Ross Goldberg and I felt that the content wasn’t enough, and that we should have some social proof that our teachings were more than just theory.

Just like at the original workshop where Howie Schwartz and I demonstrated video marketing, we decided at the very last minute to do another live demonstration, this time the power of Web 2.0 technology and social media – just to prove that these strategies actually work (and to have a little fun).

An impromptu decision was made to actually take our workshop on the air with UStream, and we didn’t even really get the word out about the show until literally within about 10 minutes before we were scheduled to go live!

Implementing just a few of the social marketing tactics covered during the first half of day one, the attendees began using Twitter, Facebook and email to begin spreading the word about our live show.

Despite the time constraint we were working with, we still managed to get close to 400 unique viewers from all over the world (including Singapore, Spain, UK, Australia, and Canada) watching our show within just several minutes of notice!

We even had special visits from our expert friends like Tom Beal, Ben Mack, Pat O’Bryan, Jason Moffatt, Alejandro Reyes and Lasse Rouhiainen, just to name a few.

And as the show went on, more and more viewers joined us, and before the weekend was over, we had almost 600 views to our Ustream channel.

The viewers were also very much into the interaction, so we also had an extremely interactive chatroom that remained active during the show, and over 60 people actually remained in the room to chat even hours after we went off the air, which goes to show just how powerful social media is for traffic generation today, and will continue to be.

As a matter of fact, the sudden influx of visitors flocking to view our Three Sides of Traffic show impacted the streaming activity so much, that our show actually made it to the FRONT PAGE of Ustream while we were still live!

Oh, and that didnโ€™t just happen once…

Our show made it to the homepage of Ustream AGAIN the next day when we went live on the air for the second time:

Hey, I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty darn cool! :)

Also, take a look at just some of the Twitter activity we had with a few of the most popular Three Sides of Traffic related searches this weekend:

If you didn’t get the chance to experience the Three Sides of Traffic workshop live with us this weekend in Long Island, we’re bummed that you couldn’t be a part of all the fun we had.

However, it’s not the end of the world because the entire weekend’s content was recorded, and you’ll be able to not only access it, but also get full resale rights to it by taking advantage of our special offer that we made available to attendees and viewers

Next year, Howie Schwartz, Ross Goldberg and I plan to return again with the Four Sides of Traffic, and this time, our friends Lee Collins and Robin Collins are going to be an official part of it.

This means that the Four Sides of Traffic promises to contain even more of the newest and most effective traffic strategies for 2009, so definitely stay tuned for more information on that.

Hello from Room 108 of the La Casa Del Camino, where we’ve spent the weekend celebrating Karen’s birthday in sunny Laguna Beach, CA!

We began Karen’s birthday Friday evening with friends at the Las Brisas Mexican Restaurant for drinks, then moved on to dine at Javier’s Cantina and Grill, where the wait to be seated itself was a little over 60 minutes…

But as you can see from the photos below, the exquisite quality of every seared-to-perfection entree made every minute of the wait very much worthwhile…

The next evening, we continued our fun weekend when my good friend “Magic” Ryan Kaltman invited us to the Magic Castle in LA, where I, along with Eric Farewell and James Lee, spent the evening enjoying brilliant illusions by amazing magicians.

On Sunday, I was scheduled to speak at Dr. Mike W00-Ming’s Continuity Cash Cow in San Diego…

So we took the drive down and met up with Dr. Mike Woo-Ming and his crew of fellow experts, Shelby Larson, Mark Ress, and Alex Nghiem.

Later on in the day, I invited Jason Moffatt and Mike Koenigs to join us, and we wrapped up the evening with a nice dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Hello from Room 935 of the Hard Rock Hotel at Frank Kern’s Mass Control Workshop in San Diego, CA!

frank kern

Frank Kern And Simon Leung At The Mass Control VIP Party On The Roof Of The Hard Rock Hotel

I just spent the weekend hanging out with Internet Marketing’s top dogs, who all attended as part of all-star VIP line up of the Mass Control Workshop.

We saw cameo appearances from superstars like Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Rich Schefren, Jeff Walker, Jason Moffatt, Mike Koenigs, Brad Fallon, Andy Jenkins, Mike Morgan, John Carlton, Matt Gill, Rex Wisehart, Sterling Valentine, Mark Widawer, Kevin Nations, Ryan Kaltman, Lynn Pierce, Frank Sousa, Ross Goldberg, Bob Serling, Eben Pagan, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Ed Dale, Tellman Knudson, Joe Polish, Lee Collins, Robin Collins, Shawn Casey and at least several others that I can’t think of right now!

I know – I couldn’t believe the VIP guests either!

All of these top marketers coming together in San Diego definitely made the Mass Control workshop a spectacular and memorable event.

But just as valuable as the networking was the incredible content delivered by Frank Kern and his guest speakers.

They spoke of the human psychology behind a customer’s buying process, and everything that defines a prospect’s purchase decision.

I was especially impressed as Frank Kern dissected the anatomy of his multi-million dollar Mass Control launch, which was nothing short of brilliant!

But more importantly than just the money is the process that can bring you more followers and fans in your specified niche.

Even though I don’t personally have a big launch planned for at least another few months, I am extremely eager to put some of this new information to use.

Over the next several days, I’ll be implementing some Mass Control style strategies to see on a couple social networking websites to see how well they work for me.

Check back soon and I’ll let you know the results :)

Hello from Room 707 of the Embassy Suites at Stu McLaren’s Idea Incubator in Anaheim, CA, just a few blocks away from Disneyland and Downtown Disney :)

Idea Incubator At The Embassy Suites In Anaheim, CA

Idea Incubator Day One – 9:15AM (Presentation #1)

Idea Incubator Day Two – 8:45AM (Presentation #2)

(Photos courtesy of Andy Huang, my Project Manager and Business Partner)

This event marks the last speaking engagement that I have committed to for the next few months… That’s because I will be doing some intensive International traveling to start building new businesses and organizing my own events overseas.

With that said, I must say that the Idea Incubator was for certain the best event I could have chosen for such an occasion…

This is primarily due to the fact that the Idea Incubator has arguably one of the most involved processes for the speakers, simply because Stu McLaren strongly believes in maximizing the value for the attendees.

Not only is the Idea Incubator an intensive weekend of valuable information, but each speaker also presents not just once, but TWO times, for multiple days in content-packed 90 minute sessions.

In addition, all speakers also get together with the attendees for a night in a “roundtable” session, where small groups get the chance to personally meet and grill each speaker for 20 minutes at a time on just about anything that they want!

And considering the EXTREMELY high quality of speakers that I have the honor of sharing the stage with at the Idea Incubator, including Alex Mandossian, Armand Morin, Matt Bacak, Jermaine Griggs, Ray Edwards, Michel Fortin and Sylvie Fortin…

Well, you can just imagine the tremendous value each attendee got simply by making their trip to Anaheim this weekend!

Also, I must admit that I’ve never been to another event where even the most successful speakers stick around to network and hang out with everyone throughout most of the event.

The quality of Idea Incubator also shows with the calibur of audience just in attendance, including Frank Sousa, Dr. Mike Woo-Ming, Christina Hills, Jay Aaron, Mike Koenigs, Jose Espana, DJ Dave Bernstein, Eric Farewell, Marty Stewart, Rachel Rofe and Jaime Mintun.

You may or may not have heard of all the names I just mentioned (particularly the latter ones), but they are all good friends of mine and you’ll be hearing a lot more from them real soon (I already have some cool projects planned with most of them).

Definitely an amazing weekend at the Idea Incubator, but I’m bummed that I need to leave the event early because I am taking off for my 2 month trip to Asia tonight, so I need to go home, pack and take care of some last minute things.

However, I am very glad that I could stick around last night for not only for the round table session, but also to celebrate Stu McLaren’s birthday with his team and a few friends at Red Robins.

Stu McLaren’s Birthday Dinner With Jermaine Griggs, Brent Coppieters, Jeff France, Faye McLaren, Greg France, Rachel Rofe And Jaime Mintun

Again, this marks the end of my seminar speaking tour for a while, and since I will be out of the country, that means that I will be missing some very cool upcoming seminars, including Ken McArthur’s JV Alert Live, Howie Schwartz and Dr. Mike Woo-Ming’s Lead Supreme Workshop, Alex Mandossian’s Teleseminar Secrets Reunion, and other events organized by Armand Morin, Mark Hendricks and Frank Kern.

And even though I will be back on the circuit eventually, probably in a couple of months, I will be committing to a lot fewer of them, and my schedule will be a lot less aggressive so that I can focus on truly building my business.

I have a lot of goals regarding where I want to take my business, and after 18 months of intensive traveling and speaking, I believe it’s finally time to stir my actionable items towards that direction.
