Fabian Lim’s Asia Internet Congress in Singapore

Filed Under: Seminars · Travel · Updates

Nov 29

Hello from Room 1007 of the Grand Mecure Roxy Hotel at Fabian Lim’s Asia Internet Congress in Singapore!

I’m extremely excited to be here at Fabian Lim’s Asia Internet Congress to speak about Google AdWords and the different ways to maximize the traffic for highest conversions.

Other speakers at this event include Donna Fox, Dr. Mike Woo Ming, Jermaine Griggs, Sean Roach, Nathan Anderson, Joel Christopher and Singapore natives Ewen Chia and Jaz Lai.

While there, I also had to the chance to meet up with my local friends Stuart Tan and Jacyln Chan, and made many more in the process.

As Asia is an ever growing market for Internet Marketing, I have also had the chance to discuss some very exciting business opportunities to bring more of what we do here in the U.S. over to the Asian countries.

But amidst all the shop talk, we even found time to have some fun and enjoy some fine local dining, sightseeing, lounges and of course, karaoke (no trip to Asia is complete without).

I really enjoyed Singapore a lot, and I am looking forward to setting up some business ventures here so I will have an excuse to come back more often.

Google AdWords Workshop in San Jose, CA

Nov 11

Hello from the Governor’s House B Conference Room at the Holiday Inn San Jose (formerly Hyatt San Jose) at my very first Google AdWords Workshop in San Jose, California!

AdWords Workshop Sign

After being on the Internet Marketing speaking circuit for over 15 months, I have finally decided to do my own event, which includes guests who came here from Italy, Monaco, Hawaii, and all over the country, and even people who drove 800 miles and took the Greyhound to be here.

The reason I decided to host an AdWords Workshop now is that even though I enjoy teaching on stage, I knew that there was a lot more that I wanted to accomplish, and the 60 or 90 minutes that I usually get up there are simply not enough.

So - I had this grand idea of putting together a 3 day content packed and interactive AdWords Workshop, and with the help of my team, Alejandro Reyes, Andy Huang, John Guanzon, Matt Ellsworth, Kevin Finney, Leo de Leon, Robert Secades, Daniel Arzuaga, Lisa Weinberger, Garrett Leyenaar and Toki Tover, we made it happen this weekend in my home turf.

Speaking for 3 days straight with 10 presentations is a lot of work, and I was thrilled that my fellow team members Alejandro Reyes, John Guanzon, Matt Ellsworth, Kevin Finney, Leo de Leon, Lisa Weinberger, Robert Secades and Daniel Arzuaga volunteered some stage time.

It was the first time speaking for many of them, so I was happy to offer them the opportunity, and proud as well because they all did a great job.

In addition, we also had a few other guest speakers, including conversion expert Mark Widawer, new media expert Deborah Micek, marketing makeover expert Tracy Repchuk, investment expert Johnnie Siu, and product development experts Rod Beckwith and Huey Lee.

There are also some pretty successful AdWords experts in the audience as well, including Chris Loch, who is here representing Alex Mandossian, and Mauricio Martinez, who is here representing David Garfinkel.

All in all, the presentations were good, but based on the feedback on the audience, it seems like they benefitted the most from the interactive exercises, which was good feedback to have so I know to allocate more time for them in future workshops.

Howie Schwartz’s Sustainable Traffic Workshop in Westport, Connecticut

Filed Under: Seminars · Travel · Updates

Nov 03

Hello from Howie Schwart’s Sustainable Traffic Workshop in his Westport, Connecticut home, located about 60 minutes away from the JFK airport in New York.

Literally at the very last minute, I decided to come to Westport and crash Howie Schwartz’s Sustainable Traffic Workshop because I really wanted to learn how he does some of the cool things that he does.

The first night I got here, I met up with Mark Widawer at the airport, and together, we drove from JFK to the Westport Inn and met up with Rod Beckwidth.

We then proceeded to a nearby local diner called Athena, where I had matzoh ball soup for the first time. And hey, it’s pretty good! :)
The next morning, we headed over to Howie Schwartz’s house.

Howie Schwartz specializes in using Web 2.0 technology to dominate the search engines and literally take up the first page, and in some cases, even the first multiple pages of the search results for competitive keywords.

This is amazing for not only being the most dominant website online, but it can also wipe off your competition completely, and possibly even driving your competition out of business.

After spending a couple days with Howie Schwartz, I can tell why he is so fierce in his various niches - he takes no prisoners, he plays to win and he is revealing his complete system step-by-step this weekend!

Another thing I learned from Howie Schwartz at the Sustainable Traffic Workshop this weekend in addition to the great content is that for an event like this, having guest speakers is very important.

You see, I am having my own AdWords Workshop next weekend in San Jose, CA, and I am planning to speak all three days by myself.

Well, Howie Schwartz’s Sustainable Traffic Workshop is two days - and it took such a toll on him that he asked for guest speakers in the audience to take over for him while he took some personal breaks.

And being the nice guy that I am, I decided to volunteer my time to help out with a live demonstration of Google AdWords, and gave a brief training to the audience.

It wasn’t a prepared presentation or anything, obviously, just something that people can see and learn from and hopefully take away.

Keeping this very important lesson in mind, I am definitely going to ask some VIP guests and experts on my team to help me out next week, because I certainly don’t want to lose my voice or exhaust myself too much by the end of the three days :)
